I Love Digitizing ("we", "us", "our") provides embroidery digitizing, vector art, custom patches and a shop of ready-made embroidery designs. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using our website or services you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Account information. Your name, email address, phone number (optional) and password. Passwords are stored in a protected, one-way encrypted form, so we cannot read them. We email you one-time verification codes when you sign in or reset your password.
Orders and quotes. The service you choose, sizes, file formats, notes, the artwork and reference files you upload, our messages with you, the files we deliver, and your invoices.
Payment information. Payments are processed by PayPal and by our card payment processor. We receive confirmation of the payment, the amount and a transaction reference. We do not receive or store your full card number.
Messages and live chat. What you write in the contact form, quote form and live chat, with your name and email if you give them. For live chat and site security we also record your IP address, browser and device type, the page you were on and the page you came from.
Usage and device information. IP address, browser type, pages viewed and the time of your visit, collected through server logs, cookies and analytics.
Shop purchases on Etsy. Our shop page shows designs from our Etsy store. When you press "Buy on Etsy" you leave this website, and Etsy collects and processes your purchase under Etsy's own terms and privacy policy. As the seller we may receive your name, email address and order details from Etsy so that we can fulfil your order and answer your questions.
2. How we use your information
To create and manage your account and to sign you in securely.
To quote, produce and deliver your orders, and to send proofs, invoices and order updates.
To take payments and prevent fraud.
To answer your questions through email, the contact form and live chat.
To protect the site, including blocking abusive IP addresses and spam.
To understand how the site is used and to improve our services.
To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
To send you service emails. We only send marketing emails if you agree, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
3. Legal bases (EEA, UK and similar regions)
Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performing our contract with you (orders and accounts); our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, improving the service); your consent (optional analytics and marketing); and legal obligations (tax and accounting records).
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Essential cookies keep you signed in and protect your account. The site cannot work securely without them.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) tell us which pages are visited and help us improve the site. They do not identify you by name.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies you will not be able to sign in.
5. Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the business, and only what they need:
Hosting and security providers, including Cloudflare (website delivery and protection).
Payment providers (PayPal and our card processor).
Email delivery (for example Google, to send you codes, proofs and invoices).
Analytics (Google Analytics).
Etsy, for purchases made in our Etsy shop. We also read our public listing and review information from Etsy to show it on this website.
Professional advisers, authorities and courts when the law requires it.
A buyer or successor if our business is sold or restructured.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Your artwork and files
Your artwork stays private and is linked to your account. We use it only to complete your order and to give you support. We will not publish it, or show it in our portfolio, without your permission.
7. How long we keep information
We keep account information while your account is open. Order files and messages are kept for up to 24 months after your last order so that we can help with revisions and repeat orders, and are then deleted or anonymised. Invoices and payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. You can ask us to delete your data sooner (see section 9).
8. Security
We protect your information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), private file storage, access controls, encrypted passwords and monitoring for abuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy in a portable format, object to or restrict certain uses, withdraw consent, and opt out of marketing. California residents may also ask what categories of information we collect and disclose, and we will not discriminate against you for using these rights.
To make a request, email us at the address below. We may need to verify your identity, and we will reply within 30 days. If you are in the EEA or UK and are unhappy with our response, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
10. International transfers
We and our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
11. Children
Our services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Links to other websites
Our website links to other sites, including Etsy and social media. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their policies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. If we make important changes, we will tell you on the website or by email.
